Welcome to the section on garden construction. This is an older section of the site which is awaiting updating (as of Jan 2008) to accomodate more up to date information on sustainable construction methods. It is still, however, a valuable source of information on how to construct garden and landscape projects.

This information is designed to compliment other sections of this site, in particular, the design notes section. Good construction is useless without considered use of appropriate design principles, for good building methods tell you nothing about proportion, or appropriate placement.
You may find the Subject Threads a useful way of seeing all different articles and notes from different sections of the site that relate to any given topic.
Finally, it may be of interest to note that all the photos used are of my own projects I have built, or had built, over the years, which is true for almost the entire web site, except for where photos illustrate a particular point or principle of a more general nature, or a street scene.
To access the construction notes, please use the menu at left.
